Eréndira is a wildlife filmmaker. She studied Wildlife documentary production at the UK, where she worked as a researcher at the BBC Natural History Unit, collaborating with the research for the “Gorilla Family and me” series. Back in Mexico she worked as online producer, writer and director assistant for the documentary series México en la edad de hielo (Mexico during the ice age) for public tv “Canal Once”.
Her most recent productions are “River of raptors”; a documentary that tells for the first time, the story of the largest bird of prey migration in the world; The power of Sound, a short documentary about three animals that use sound to survive (Curiosity Stream); Mexican Wolf (2020) and “Fondo de aseguramiento ganadero” (2020) both commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme to promote the conservation of Mexican wolves in the wild.
Eréndira has also lead documentary workshops for a community in the south of Veracruz in collaboration with SEDEMA (Mexican Environmental secretariat) as part of the efforts to preserve the karstic rainforest of Veracruz.
River of raptors is the reason why I leart wildlife filmmaking. I could't beleive very few new about this huge migration event, as many other nature wonders in Mexico. How can we take care of something we don't even know? I'm trying to show this natural wonders, and help in their conservation.
