I am an independent filmmaker-artist from Assam, India. I am interested in ethnography, experimental documentary, and hybrid art that deals with the distinctions and overlaps of experience, reality, and truth. I studied film direction at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. My student film, Wet Blue Tarpaulin (2019/India), premiered at the 15th International Short and Independent Film Festival, Dhaka. It was awarded at the 11th Indian Film Festival of Bhubaneswar, the 11th Cut.In National Students' Film Festival, TISS Mumbai, and the 9th DMCS National Film Festival, Pune.
In 2023, I was awarded the Doc_Commune Film Fund by PSBT, India, for the development of a short documentary project based in Barak Valley, Assam, India. In 2024, my first feature length documentary was selected for the MIFF Doc Film Bazaar Work-In-Progress (WIP) section.
