1944 Italy. As the second world war draws to an end an 11 year old girl, 'Loretta', finds herself in hospital after loosing her arm in a bombing raid. We realise the true identity of man's war inflicted upon the peaceful and innocent people of a small village in Lucca.
She must now find a way to get back home to her family, back to her life and the people she loves. She must embark on an epic journey through the beautiful countryside of this once idyllic place. She must return.
