Richter
“Richter” is a story based in real events. A deadly earthquake hits the city of Durrës on November 26, 2019. Hundreds of buildings are damaged or fully destroyed. In one collapsed building, only 3 people remain alive, trapped under the ruins: Armando, a man in his early 30-s and Jerina and her 2 years old baby girl. For 40 hours they try to remain alive until the help comes. If it comes. This is a fight for survival and a race against time. Will they survive?

Koloreto Cukali was born in Tirana (1974), where he studied Philosophy. After hosting one of the most successful radio programs in Albania, he moved on to TV and later to the cinema. He is the most celebrated and sought after multimedia writer in Albania of the last decade. He is the first independent Albanian producer and a talent of Berlinale Talent Campus. Koloreto wrote and produced the first independent feature film, Femrat (2013), the highest national grossing of the time. In 2009 he wrote and produced the first Albanian sitcom, "Radio-Radio", and in 2017 he wrote and produced the most important Albanian TV series of 10 episodes, a medieval story titled "Skandërbeg". In 2019 he wrote the documentary "Vices Of Communism", commissioned by the History Channel. Richter (2022) is his debut as a director.
