Richard Pines known for Renegade, In Plain Sight, General Hospital, Days of our Lives, started his career as an extra on the Academy Award film "Gods and Monsters." Richard earned his SAG membership as a stand-in for Dennis Farina on the made for television movie, "The Corpse had a Familiar Face" starring Elizabeth Montgomery. This experience left a lasting impression on him, how to work as a professional, as he watched two veteran actors, just simply "Work." While on the set of Renegade as the character "Rudy" he received some invaluable advice from John Aprea (Young Tessio) Godfather II, on how to work in the business of acting. He was told, "Hey kid, I don't know do some plays". He took that to heart and did exactly that, working the San Diego Community Theater circuit, which culminated with an award winning performance in, "To Kill a Mockingbird" Legler Benbough Theater Scripps Ranch, Ca (1998 Associated Community Theater, San Diego County, Aubrey Award Best Supporting Actor-"Bob Ewell").
