Return to the Wild

Seals are a vital part of marine ecosystems and a valuable indicator of ocean health. As their numbers decline, we explore behind the scenes at the Exploris Seal Sanctuary, where a dedicated team works to rescue and rehabilitate seal pups, before they return to the wild. We follow the journey of the first pup of the season, speaking to the rescue team and expert marine biologists who are tagging the seal pups to see if they survive after release. The findings have astounded scientists, and here we will swim alongside on their unexpected journeys as they return to the wild.
