The film’s design is rooted in the semiotics of storytelling. Through in-depth qualitative research, the author was inspired to create a fantasy, experimental, and dramatic fairy tale with a touch of mystery. This narrative emerges from the author’s imagination, aiming to craft a fairy-tale animation film with semiotic messages and metaphorical character design. The project uses 3D techniques to depict character concepts and environments, blending elements of modern fantasy with ornamental details that enhance the garden's surreal visual quality as the exterior setting, alongside the living spaces of the lost mushroom and the gardener as the interior environment. The story mainly portrays the longing and regret of the Gardener, a father who did not care for his daughter, yet eventually finds his daughter's missing shoe, which the Mushroom lives in when it rains. The shoe itself is being portrayed as a memorial object in the story. The software I used to visualize this idea into such craft is Procreate, Blender, Adobe 3D Substance Paint, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.
