Red Bird
Maximilien Abadie learns of his father Alex’s death under mysterious circumstances. Officially, it was ruled a car accident—one seemingly caused by Alex himself. But Alex was more than just a father, he was a relentless police officer, known for his discipline and ruthless efficiency. Working in the shadows under the alias “Red Bird”, he was a secret vigilante who took on the city’s most complex cases.
Convinced that the official version of events hides something far more sinister, Max turns to Franck, the police chief, and his colleague Julien. Julien hands him an incomplete file, revealing that his father had been investigating a high-stakes case: Project Stardust. This operation aimed to seize control of the city’s drug trade, and Alex was determined to bring it down—no matter the cost.
Driven by a burning desire for vengeance, Max embarks on a relentless pursuit, dissecting every clue and unraveling every lead with the help of his loyal friend, Sam. But as he digs deeper, his thirst for revenge evolves into a perilous descent into a web of secrets and deception. What he uncovers may not only shatter his perception of the truth but also drag him into a conflict far greater than he ever imagined—a fight that goes beyond vengeance itself.

Alexandre, Thomas, and Houssam are a trio of passionate filmmakers with complementary paths. Alexandre, born in 1993 in Marseille, is an independent writer-director, composer, and producer. He began making films as a teenager, co-created the hit web series Les Déguns, and earned international acclaim with his short Observation. He’s currently developing two feature films. Thomas, born in 1996, is a film editor, stunt performer, and choreographer, inspired by action and sci-fi cinema. He co-directed, wrote, edited, and starred in his first film, Red Bird, and now trains the next generation of action filmmakers. Houssam, born in 1988, grew up immersed in martial arts and genre films. He co-directed Red Bird with Thomas, channeling a lifelong passion for cinematic storytelling through movement and action. Together, they represent a bold new wave of physical, visually-driven filmmaking.
RED BIRD is an independent action film that breaks away from the traditional French production model, proving that cinema can thrive outside industry norms. Created through alternative means, it brought together a passionate team of technicians, actors, and stunt performers united by a shared vision. Without conventional funding, the crew poured dedication and belief into the project, driven by creativity and collaboration over commercial constraints.
Shot entirely in Marseille in just 19 days, the film blends high-octane action with emotional depth, honoring the legacy of Jackie Chan and martial arts cinema. Stunt performers are placed at the heart of the spectacle, with dynamic choreography and breathtaking stunts. Directed by three filmmakers with distinct perspectives, RED BIRD delivers a bold, visually striking experience that celebrates independent cinema and the power of passion-driven storytelling.
