Yvette Pabon who is of Puerto Rican, Italian and Senegalese dissent, was born in Delaware and raised in North Philadelphia. As a youth, Yvette enjoyed writing poetry and short stories. If she wasn’t sitting in a corner somewhere with a pencil and paper, then she was probably outside playing basketball or throwing a football around. At age 22, she graduated from Delaware County Community College with an Associate’s degree in behavioral science. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree at West Chester University, Yvette decided she would put her education on hold to explore what she was truly passionate about. After a bit of soul searching, she began professionally training with Tony Savant at Playhouse West - Philadelphia. Although Yvette enjoyed acting, she found herself reverting back to her first passion, writing. After attending her first film festival, she was deeply inspired to create. In that very moment, during an intermission, she began writing the script to her first Short film, “Reasons.”
