Director Biography - Alberto Diamante

Alberto Diamante is an award-winning writer-director. Born in Italy and raised in the Middle East and Canada, he identifies as Italian-Canadian. His films include Ulysses, Love...and other reasons to panic, and The Bookstore. His screenplay for the film “Skin” garnered accolades all over the world and was made into a $2M feature film. 

His spec script "Cafe Romeo" is currently receiving multiple awards and accolades in various film festivals and screenplay competitions.

Rattlesnake Point, his fourth feature film, has received accolades throughout the world, from New York to Hollywood, Washington State, Hawaii, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, etc.

Director Statement

Rattlesnake Point is an homage to the great tradition of classical cinema. It highlights poignant acting, stunning cinematography, breathtaking images and spectacular locations. It was filmed throughout Ontario (Canada) and features some of the most magnificent landscapes in our glorious province. From a narrative standpoint, it tells the story of a group of wayward criminals in the aftermath of a deadly art heist, as a nod to great heist films like Reservoir Dogs, The Killing, Le Cercle Rouge, etc.
