Callie Currence is a Korean-American screenwriter from Minnesota whose work blends grounded emotion with a flair for the unsettling. Her debut short screenplay, Over and Out—a tender, storm-soaked survival story about connection and neurodivergence—hit #1 on Coverfly’s Short Screenplay list and held a spot on the Red List. It has since earned multiple honors, including a WorldFest-Houston Platinum Remi Award, Best Short Screenplay from the Reale Film Festival, and the Film Crash award for Dramatic Short Screenplay.

Callie’s writing is known for its emotional honesty and characters who live with one foot in the real world and one in the dark. Whether she’s exploring horror, psychological drama, or offbeat romance, her stories often center on survival, grief, and what it means to be seen.
