Max Buzecky lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is currently studying for his degree in Film at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
For over a decade now, he has been telling personal stories that explore human relationships and the internal conflicts that come with them. He has done this through many different lenses, from experimental to narrative work.
Max has experimented with many different formats of moving imagery as he developed his craft; preferring the texture of Hi-8 video and 16mm film stock to their digital counter-part for their grain and raw images. This is all done to create a particular mood in his pieces. To Max, what is most interesting is what is not said as opposed to what is said.
"Ramble & Babble" uses the mumblecore genre and the rough textures of Hi-8 tape to explore the unstable relationship between two college students living together. The dialogue consists of improvisation in order to create a natural feeling of two people passing time away on a day like any other while the Hi-8 footage and audio gives the film a more authentic and raw feeling.
