A trained actor (LAMDA), Ralph has appeared in numerous theatre productions, features and short films under the stage name of Ralph Mondi.
Having directed several plays for the stage, in 2015, Ralph began working behind the camera as First AD and script revisor, as well as head of postproduction, on a short film production entitled Memories of a Lake.
After receiving an MA degree in English literature the same year, Ralph formed his own production company, Studio RealModeForm Productions.
Ralph's first project as a film director was Driftwood (2018). It is a film about life, family and friendship. With a script of 26 pages, which Ralph also wrote, and a budget of £30.000, it was shot over three consecutive days in a house in north London.
It has received fantastic reviews (see News & Reviews on this page), won an award, been a finalist, received several honorable mentions and has been shown on several film festivals around the world.
Ralph also wrote the soundtrack (see the Spotify link on this page)
Ralph has just finished writing a feature length screenplay entitled Nekromanteion. The story references the real killing of three-year-old James Bulger, in Liverpool, in 1993, by two preteen boys. But its structure is not altogether straightforward.
The aim is to make it an international production set in Montana, USA, and it was meant to begin shooting this year, 2022. Unfortunately this has been postponed due to Covid-19. As things stand now, it is not certain when the filming will begin.
