Ian Mark Roach is a student and filmmaker from New York State. Most of his projects are no-budget short films created by him and his friends for local community screenings. Mostly tinkering away in the genres of comedy and horror, Ian prioritizes telling stories that are fast paced, colorful, and full of life.
Have you ever met someone so loud, wrong and absurd you can't help but wonder what goes on inside their head? I know I have, and it's not really that fun! 'Rad Dude's Guide to Love and Manhood' is inspired by these types, usually displaying a confounding mix between "charisma" and unaddressed emotions that often manifest to the detriment of others. They may go through legitimate struggle, but the stories of those they hurt are just as important. This juxtaposition between their "struggle" and the one they put everyone else through is what the movie is all about.
