His documentary and drama films have won over 700 festival awards worldwide. - His documentary features include The Secret Order, Zachary Richard Cajun Heart, Acadian Music Wave, Secretariat’s Jockey Ron Turcotte & The Nature of Frederic Back. - His film Belle-Ile in Acadie received in 2023 the Guinness World Record for the most awards won by a documentary short film, with 458 awards. - Phil Comeau has received the Order of Canada, and has recently been promoted to Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters of France for his contribution to culture and cinema.
