ROLLING DOLLAR: A Legend Unplugged
If music is a measure of history then Fatai Rolling Dollar at 86 years old, and still performing to big audiences across the world, is the living breathing encyclopedia of Lagos culture and music.
From playing Agidigbo music in the early 1950s to his guitar vibes of Highlife in the 1960s and 70s, Rolling Dollar has lived and loved performing his music for over 60years.
Although the success of his early career would later disappear with a series of professional and personal misfortunes in the 1970s he never gave up.
He would re-emerge in the 1990s to capture the imagination of audiences across the world with his ageless musical fusions and electric performances.
