ROCKOLANDIA: Las Cabritas

Winner of 4 Emmy Awards (Suncoast Chapter, 2025), "Rockolandia: Las Cabritas" is a Spanish language musical animated series that follows 7 little goats who live happily in the forest with their family, and who continuously outwit the villainous, dopey, and hungry Big Bad Wolf. The series consists of 10 episodes of approx. 11 min in length.

Director Biography - Cristina Carrión

Emmy nominated Producer and Director and CEO/Founder at Dakiti Productions, LLC, which recently released the 4-time EMMY Award Winning animated series in Spanish, "ROCKOLANDIA: Las Cabritas". For ROCKOLANDIA, Cristina served as series director, head writer, and producer.

Was the Founder/Artistic Director of The Julii Theatre Company in NYC for 5 years, producing classical plays for Off-Off Broadway venues. During this time, Cristina directed most of the plays produced by the company, managed cast and crew of 30+ people, and was invited to guest-direct plays for outside theatre companies.

Cristina is an International MBA graduate from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. She also holds a BFA in Theatre and a BA in English: Writing and Literature, with a focus on scriptwriting, from Pace University in NYC.

Cristina was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is a Dual Citizen from USA and Spain. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Director Statement

The series, Rockolandia: Las Cabritas, is an adaptation/re-imagination of an existing IP, which was created in the 1980’s in Puerto Rico as an LP and a collection of musical theatre pieces.

In turning Rockolandia into an animated series we made it our mission to produce it 100% in Puerto Rico by local talent and succeeded in doing so. Although Rockolandia is its own magical world, it is inspired by Puerto Rico and every aspect of the production has been constructed to reflect Puerto Rican authenticity. As a result, "Rockolandia: Las Cabritas" is the first fully realized Spanish language, animated, musical series made 100% in Puerto Rico.
