Director Biography - Tara Rule

Tara Rule is a film maker from New York. Her previous works, CATO and Before The Fern have won dozens of awards in festivals worldwide. This year, Rule started her own production company (Rule Arts and Production (RAP Films). Her first feature, OURSELVES is in post production and is set to release in 2023.

Director Statement

This film was shot in the diner that the concept was born in. I wanted to capture a powerful story and a great deal of emotion in a short time frame without the help of a soundtrack or dialogue. This film has provided myself and my partner a great deal of healing as it is based on true events.
