REFLECTIONS

Reflections explores the terrifying consequences of narcissism, using the character's obsession with his own image to drive the horror. As a teenager consumed by his self-obsession, the protagonist fills his home with mirrors, unknowingly creating the perfect environment for his own reflection to turn against him. The film dives into psychological horror, gradually escalating the terror as the reflection becomes more aggressive, ultimately leading to an inescapable confrontation.

Director Statement

Reflections was born out of a desire to explore the psychological horror of facing something you cannot escape: yourself. As a filmmaker, I wanted to explore how a seemingly innocent obsession, like the relationship we have with our own reflection, can escalate into something horrific. The reflection serves as a manifestation of the character’s internal struggle, a direct result of his narcissism. Through escalating horror and psychological tension, I wanted the audience to feel trapped with the character, constantly on edge, unable to predict what would happen next. Ultimately, Reflections is about confronting the fear that comes from within and realizing that no matter how hard you try, you can’t escape parts of yourself.
