RED

I’ve always been a big believer in the power of visual storytelling. Throughout my life, I’ve come across so many situations that I can relate to some of the most memorable film moments that I’ve experienced. I respect the entire process it takes to make movie magic happen and I truly believe that being able to take people away from their everyday lives is what truly makes it magical. When I first heard the track “RED” from Lucy Daydream, I instantly imagined a sci-fi exploration into the unknown. I believe that every artist has a moment within their lives where they take that leap of faith and cast off in search of what they truly desire. After explaining my vision to the artist, I felt as if she understood the importance of this juncture. RED was the first song that Paige Duche and Ross Ryan had ever recorded together and after discovering this, it gave this project a meaningful essence. The journey in “RED” revolves around the idea of soaring to new heights and as an artist, I feel like we’re always trying to challenge ourselves. My imagination is one of my greatest strengths and has always allowed me to escape into other worlds that I have dreamed up. I felt like this adventure needed to represent the significance of taking risks as well as showcase the imagination and how our point of view is the driving force that can allow us to achieve our dreams. Traveling into the stars has always been an inspiring fascination of mine, as I’m sure it is too many others as well. I was able to apply my knowledge of practical effects throughout this entire music video so that it had that realistic sci-fi aesthetic but also felt like something within the imagination of a dreamer. After all this hard work, my hope is that people that see this can relate this journey with their desires and dreams and maybe take that leap of faith for themselves!
