Director Statement

I believe silence can be louder than words.
With QUIT NOW, my intention was to strip away narration and allow sound, pause, and imagery to carry the message. Smoking is often discussed through statistics and warnings, but its damage is deeply personal and gradual. I wanted the audience to feel that quiet destruction rather than be instructed about it.
The film’s short duration mirrors the decision it speaks about—brief, sudden, and irreversible if ignored. Every cut, sound hit, and moment of silence was designed to build tension toward a single point of urgency.
This film is not about fear.
It is about choice.
And the moment to choose is now.
