Take me to Qafë Botë, so I may look upon Chameria!

Inspired by true stories and written by renowned Albanian writer Luan Rama, the film follows an elderly Cham woman on her final journey to Qafë Botë, where she longs to see her lost homeland of Chameria one last time before death. Through memories of childhood, family, music, friendship, exile, and survival, her voice becomes the testimony of an entire people uprooted by war and persecution. Blending poetic imagery with historical memory, the film explores loss, identity, longing, and the enduring connection between people and homeland, an emotional and timeless meditation on memory, trauma, and hope across generations.
