Zuzana Gedeon has a passion for films that portray unrepresented role models.
Bright, intellectually curious, and fun, with just enough ego to keep her level headed and motivated but not get in the way of her warm personality, she is driven to walk the unbeaten paths and present unusual worlds, events, and characters to her audiences.
Born and raised in Slovakia, where she participated in the revolution that overturned the communist regime, Zuzana is able to find a silver lining in almost any situation.
Once the iron curtain was breached she moved to America, had a successful career as a mom, and a machine learning researcher/software developer. After her daughter died from a terminal genetic disease, Zuzana overhauled her life, went back to school, added MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking in Montana to the list of her degrees, hopped in the adapted minivan, and searched for answers to life and everything.
Her work as a documentary director has been screened in several festivals in Los Angeles, Paris, and Prague.
While endowed with a keen eye for composition and steady hand able to capture moments, she found her calling in creating and directing fictionalized stories.
To deal with the Pandemic and the isolation during that time I was grasping for straws. Luckily many amazing humans moved online and created experiences to keep us all non essentials out of funk.
For the lack of access to crew and actors I started making terrible movies, originally for little online festival like the Cabin fever film festival put on by on my own just like many other people out there. This short is in no small part inspired by Zoe' Bell's "Boss bitch fight challenge" created for Darion D'Anjou One Minute Film School competition.
As a filmmaker I felt the need to make an action film and I also wanted to create a comedy. This little short blends the two together for a little slapstick comedy with a deeper meaning.
