Punks will survive!
The musical group "Azon" is 25 years. The band has recorded numerous albums, played hundreds of concerts, gained a large fan base, and has changed several lineups without disbanding. To celebrate this impressive milestone, the band decided to create a special gift for all fans of good old punk rock by producing the first animated music video in the band's history for the song "Punks will Survives." The idea was taken on by the best directors, artists, and animators at Paranoid Animation Studio. The intense work took five months, and on June 23, 2025, the long-awaited music video was released.
Ideas and solutions
The music video is entirely made in the technique of hand-drawn 2D animation. The solution is deliberately old-school, referring to music videos of the 80s and 90s, although the approach to creating backgrounds also has an influence of modern trends in animation design. Each viewer will see something of their own.
The script concept is designed not only to visually embody the lyrics of the song, but also to pay tribute to the memory of musicians who have passed away and had a significant impact on the development of Russian rock music: Yuri Khoy, Yegor Letov, Mikhail Gorshenev, and Kurt Cobain.
In the first week, the music video received over 1 500 000 views and hundreds of positive comments on various platforms. The release was supported by official media outlets such as "Nashe Radio" and 2x2 TV channel.
