Pumping Cool
The trials and tribulations of a Legendary 70'S Graffiti Artist called Don 1. After a drug infused night at Studio 54 wich left him in a psychosis state. He becomes a recluse. 30 years later a younger graffiti artist , Louie KR 1 Gasparro makes it his mission to find him and befriends him. He forms a friendship and opens up about his life . Eddy Duran, a distinguished 2019 Emmy Nominated Director and renowned Video Journalist/Producer, commenced his cinematic odyssey in entertainment as a box office clerk at the Samuel Goldwyn Company in New York. Early involvement in independent film projects in New York City and Los Angeles laid the foundation for a robust career trajectory. His role as a production assistant on the TV series, New York Undercover, paved the way for his own narrative masterpieces. Notably, his indie feature, STONE COLD KILLERS LOS-JODEDORES, garnered attention and was acquired by Maverick Entertainment, solidifying Duran's status. His directorial prowess shone in works like GRAND OPENING and the acclaimed short, THE LESSON PLAN, featured at Cannes Film Festival, and the poignant sequel, BLACK PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE TOO, showcasing thematic dexterity. His vision found expression in the series PALE BLUE LIGHT Duran's fourth feature, 36 SAINTS, debuted in key cities, while an EMMY nomination highlighted his work on THE STORY OF LORENA BORJAS. With upcoming projects like CHRONICLES OF A MISSMAN and MACHETE Y GILE, Duran's creative vision remains strong, complemented by the relaunch of Duranfilms in Central Florida. PUMPIN COOL was produced by 61 time festival award winner Eirini Alligiannis. She is a seasoned professional digital media artist with a wide variety of experience in the motion and still picture industries, with a background in fine arts. Having diverse yet complementary roles in the film and television industries throughout Australia, the USA, and the UK has given her a strong foundation—aesthetically, technically, and culturally. Eirini has also exhibited her photography in Sydney, New York, and Paris. She continues to work on independent films as cinematographer and as a professional stills photographer.
