This short documentary follows 4 women living with cancer in Santa Fe, New Mexico as they navigate life with a diagnosis and how to live as an example to others.

Director Biography - Cameron Kit

Cameron Kit is an award-winning filmmaker with 16 years of experience in film and storytelling. She has directed over 30 films, including the feature documentary “African Woman’s Voice”. She is passionate about science fiction and how future technology will shape our world.

Cameron’s films have won numerous awards including “Best Editing”, “Best Special Effects” and “Best Cinematography”. Her work has been featured in more than 20 festivals internationally, including the Richmond International Film Fest, Dumbo Film Festival, Montreal Independent Film Festival, Tokyo International, Big Apple Film Festival and the Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival. She is a Virginia Humanities Grant recipient for her documentary work.

Director Statement

I found Pamela Markoya, a notable Santa Fe artist, through her art and her pictures of Virginia King at the Dwan Light Sanctuary in New Mexico. When I asked her about the pictures, she said "Living with Cancer is experiences prisms of experience every day." That stuck me, and as the story developed, the idea of using real prisms became a way to share how living with a diagnosis changes your perspective. I am honored to have Debbie, Andie, Virginia and Pamela let me into their lives and share their strength. Their story of hope is one everyone can connect with.
