Experiencing Interruptions?

Poutiner, English series

It's a borderless hommage to poutines created in less than favourable conditions. Go beyond the fact that most of these poutines are blasphemous to the original recipe and travel around the world with this weird cultural exchange. Poutiner, it's 21 poutines clumsily assembled with local ingredients in 14 different countries by a guy who simply got lost on the way to the restaurant. www.poutiner.com

Director Statement

The filming format is very indie with light gear and ultra light crew but it's packaged with a graphic signature and musical selection that elevates it beyond the simple travel video. The reality is also that right now a series like Poutiner is impossible to make with all the travel restrictions. Even without restrictions starting from zero and sending talent and crew to 14 countries and 21 cities would cost hundreds of thousands.

Each episode follows a man who wants a poutine at the corner restaurant. This man gets lost and finds himself somewhere in the world without a logical explanation. In this new, unfamiliar environment our character will try to make a poutine with local ingredients. Each episode show incredible and varied panoramas of the region then move to businesses where the ingredients could be sourced. Our character generally finds a public spot to assemble and devour the poutine. Each episode finishes with an ingredient list, a rating on taste and how close to a real poutine it is as well as a second poutine recipe harder to make and generally weirder.
