“Portrait of a Refugee,2024” is my debut feature doc film. This movie depicts Wirya, a civic-political activist, and his sacrifices for the freedom of his homeland, Kurdistan. Through his narration, we get to know about Kurds, the biggest ethnic group without a land, and their struggles for freedom. Therefore, his portrait is a metaphor for every Kurd out there fighting a pre-determined destiny.
All the bests,
Pezhmann M.
