Mary Gogoli was born on 11 August 1994 in Athens, Greece. She is a Chemistry student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens who truly loves arts, such as cinema, photography, music, reading, animation, pottery and theatre. She wrote and directed the short film "Pluto" and helped with the creation of the short film "Epeidi". She has attended a photography course, videography and film still photography seminars, participated in a filmmaking workshop and taken animation lessons.
"Pluto" was created approximately in a month for the first short film contest "Tainies Tsepis" organized by the Greek magazine Cinematek. The contest's theme was "Saturday night" and films submitted had to be shot on a mobile phone, feature no music and had to be two to six minutes long. The themes of "Pluto" include the fears femme people face in our patriarchal societies in contrast to the absence of fear in a utopian world, as well as alienation, friendship and fighting for your rights.
