Experiencing Interruptions?

Bristol Airport: The Plane Truth

On 10th February 2020 Bristol Airport lost its planning application to expand the airport to cater for 2 million passengers per year. The decision was made by 27 North Somerset councillors who were advised by their officers to accept the application but they courageously turned the plans down echoing the concerns of the surrounding communities and because we are facing a climate emergency.

Bristol Airport Action Network (BAAN) acted as an umbrella organisation to oppose the corporate might and greenwash of the local airport and its wealthy owners the Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan. This film shows the determination and creativity that took place during the year-long campaign to stop the airport from expanding.
