Nishanth R. was born in Coimbatore, India, and raised in the nearby metropolis of Chennai. After attending a high school in Chennai (during which time he authored and published a book, 'The Fated Sunset'), he went on to become an undergraduate studying Film & TV Production and Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Now having graduated, he works as a director for the independent production company Media RED. His feature directorial debut, 'Bharata', is in pre-production.
