Phillip E. Walker Short Film Retrospective
Taken from the nearly fifty (50) short films Phillip E. Walker, MFA has shot since coming to LA three (3) years ago, for its 40th anniversary the African American Drama Company proposes to curate this Series of five (5) PhilE short films that explore children and/or youth in celebration of 2018 Black Heritage Month on Sat., February 3, 2018. With the Huffington Post reported, 1st ever Inland Empire Film Festival GRAND PRIZE winning "Twinkies and Root Beer" being kind to God short film opening the Series, a submission for "The Hip Hop Kid" World Premiere plus a submission to close the Series with the widely traveled dysfunctional family thriller "Darkroom", are being made directly after this submission. As soon as Indie Night Officially Selects this Proposal and in turn Officially Selects both of the following "The Hip-Hop Kid" and "Darkroom" submissions, then we will begin soliciting additional Indie Night short film submissions that explore children and/or youth to round out the 4th & 5th Phillip E. Walker short films in the Series. Perhaps we will attract another World Premiere plus another of the already successful shorts in which this prolific actor currently travels the World through short film screenings.
