Director Biography - Val Chaney

My name is Val, otherwise known as velcrofridge. I am a 2D character animator, animation director, writer for animation, animatic maker, illustrator and storyboard artist. I make silly things! I have been studying animation for over 5 years and have directed 6 short films to date. I currently do freelance work around my studies and have done so for 8 years. My work includes but is not limited to murals, paintings, illustrations and short animations. After graduating, I’d like to work in industry full time. Director Statement

‘Perfection’ is a film extremely personal and close to my heart. This has been my biggest project to date, my first ever short film commission, longest animation, 2nd full group directed short and my first conference/film premiere! Thank you so much to my talented team for helping this idea become reality, and to the wonderful people at ATTUNE for commissioning me!
