Director Statement

This animation explores how power lingers in places long after it’s gone. The seaside hotel, once a retreat for the privileged, becomes a looping memory—its corridors thick with echoes of command and compliance. The guest’s vision through the peephole blurs present and past: flickers of uniforms, murmurs of control, beauty shot through with unease. I wanted the motion itself to feel unstable, like time bending under surveillance. What appears elegant at first begins to reveal its architecture of domination, reminding us that even the quietest luxury can hum with authority.
