Passaggio / Passage

Mi piacciono le cose assurde, ciò che ti lascia sbigottito, il nonsense. Credo che la realtà sia paradossale, basta soltanto coglierne l’umorismo.
L’idea alla base di Passaggio era quella di creare una sorta di vuoto, una amputazione, una mancanza di elementi essenziali, così da lasciare lo spettatore spiazzato e inerme. Però il filmato da solo risultava un po’ troppo ermetico. Forse poetico, sicuramente non fruibile.
Pertanto mi è parsa una buona idea quella di sdrammatizzare il tutto facendo “parlare” l’inconsapevole pagaiatore e ammiccare così un sorriso alla platea. Poi di tempo per rifletterci sopra ce n’è abbastanza.

I like absurd things, what leaves you astonished, the nonsense. I believe that reality is paradoxical; you just need to grasp its humor.
The idea behind Passage was to create a sort of void, an amputation, a lack of essential elements, in order to leave the viewer bewildered and helpless. However, the video alone seemed a bit too cryptic. Perhaps poetic, but definitely not accessible.
Therefore, I thought it was a good idea to lighten the mood by having the unsuspecting paddler “speak”, thus eliciting a smile from the audience. Then there is enough time to reflect on it.
