Director Statement

“Zarre” (“Particle”) follows Hana, a woman who falls in love with someone she has never met — a part of herself lost in reality.
As she suffers from mysterious pain that only light can soothe, a strange medical scan reveals another skeleton beside hers. Her husband, Saeed, tries to uncover the truth behind this emotional and physical mystery.

The film explores the thin line between reality and truth, and how love for one’s inner self can become a form of healing.
Through light, shadow, mirrors, and slow camera movements, “Zarre” creates a poetic and dreamlike space where pain, love, and the search for meaning coexist.
Cinema here is used not to explain, but to invite the audience into an intimate, emotional experience.
