Parents' day

Roman A. Bobotov was born in Ramenskoye, Moscow region, on April 19, 1968, in a working-class family.Parents mother Olga Mikhailovna Bobotova worked as a controller in the "OTC" at the Ramenskoye instrument – building plant (RPZ), father Alexey Vasilyevich Bobotov worked as an electrician at the RPZ. Brother Dmitry bobotov works as an electrician.

Once I went to visit my close relatives, at that time I was about five or six years old. They live near us in the same city of Ramenskoye. These are my cousins Vera and Lyuba. Creative people themselves: Vera draws professionally and graduated from an art school, while Lyuba graduated from the Moscow architectural Institute .So they liked to play with me and they were eight years older than me. Mostly Vera played with me , she liked to show me small performances, now I would say sketches that she invented herself. They were fabulous sketches. A cardboard box was taken, a screen was made in it, and a kind of mini puppet theater was obtained . Vera took the little dolls that she had left after childhood , and began to improvise, something that I did not know she herself involved in all this so that I still live this action, the process whose name is creativity . And it started! I really wanted to continue improvising something, but this cardboard box was not enough for me. when I was eleven years old, I went to a circle-a children's puppet theater , which was located in the house of culture "Saturn" in Ramenskoye . At that time, I wrote A letter To SV Obraztsov, I really wanted to be a puppeteer ( photo album "letters").So I found myself at the mercy of creative muses, and set a goal for myself to work in art, as for shooting photos and movies, it was still very far away.

From 1977 to 1983, at his place of residence in Ramenskoye, he took part in various Amateur creative circles, such as the people's puppet theater under the direction of V. B. Shmitko, and the drama theater under the direction of A. I. Britkov. They performed in pioneer camps and in their area , went to Latvia, Riga.

In 1983, he graduated from secondary school No. 8 in Ramenskoye.

In 1987, he graduated from the Moscow theater art and technical school (MTHTU) with a degree in mechanical engineering "stage equipment". Practice took place at the Bolshoi theater (GABT).

In 1987, he worked at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses (KDS) as a set designer.

In 1987, he joined the Soviet Army.He served in the signal corps in Belarus Nesvizh and the GDR G. Wittenberg –Lutherstadt . Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming a theater or film Director , even made a wish about it on the stars or on a Daisy, it's cute and somewhere it was naive, but then every time I thought that it's very difficult to enter a creative University at the faculty of directing-there must be a vocation. So, when I was serving in the GDR in 1987 , looking through Newspapers and magazines, I suddenly came across a photo with the image of a serviceman who had a video camera on his shoulder at that time of decent quality . That's when I decided to link my fate with cinematography , that until this moment I did not think about the person behind the camera, and even more so about photography, without knowledge of which it was simply impossible to learn how to shoot. After reviewing the program for admission to the faculty of cinematography at the world-famous Institute of cinematography (VGIK), I realized that in order to get admission to the interview, you need to show a decent set of photos of different genres. Naturally, at that time I did not have any photographic equipment, but I caught fire. It seemed to me that it would be more interesting to learn how to shoot , and the competition is not as big as for other faculties of VGIK, but then if anything it will be easier for me to get closer to film directing. At that time, I could not even think about how to shoot with a camera, I would do it well, and most importantly, build interesting photo compositions – this is later, but at first, like any beginner, compositions were not built, and it was necessary to study the technology of creating a photograph .

05.02. – 05.04.1990 was enrolled in the Central film Studio of children's and youth films named after Gorky as a Draper of scenery , where he accidentally met Maxim Puchkov (son of cinematographer N. G. Puchkov ). Maxim advised me to contact the VGIK teacher of the course "photo Composition" L. P. Dyko (photo album "autographs"). I did so and, without wasting time, went to the Institute of cinematography, where I met with the Professor of the faculty of cinematography, an extraordinary, wonderful, rare, outstanding woman, L. P. Dyko . By chance, she took me to her laboratory and helped me a lot in my creative endeavors. I am also grateful to the extraordinary, erudite, rare teacher L. D. Kursky (photo album "autographs"). And also helped to conduct classes on the course "photo Composition" with a decent intelligent cameraman with a C/art. "im.Gorky", Vladimir N. By cornelium, associate Professor Yu.N.Trnquilizer. It was a good school for me!

2 years later, I entered the correspondence Department of the faculty of cinematography to the outstanding legendary master, cinematographer, Professor, Lenin prize Winner Medynsky S.E., who taught me the art of documentary cinema and helped me create the author's diploma film "Parent's day" (photo album "recommendations"). I can say that I was very lucky to have teachers in my life!

10.04.1990 -23.09.2002 worked at VGIK as an assistant and leading engineer at the cinematography Department of the head of the Department.Department of cinematography faculty of Prof. V. I. Yusov (photo albums "autographs" and "recommendations"). So the process of shooting more and more dragged me out and I began not only to think about directing, although performing tasks on photography and film composition , I wanted to create my own author's projects without the help of students from the directing and screenwriting departments.

While working on my graduation film "parents ' day" in 1996 , I met the famous composer E. Artemyev, who, to My happiness, kindly agreed to cooperate with me and recorded music for me from his work ( photo album "autographs"). The boy Sasha Dyrin,who played in this film , graduated from theater school in Yaroslavl, became a theater and film actor, and now appears in TV series and plays on the stage of Moscow.

In 1997, the people's artist of the USSR A.V. Batalov and the talented composer Artem Artemyev (son of the composer E. Artemyev) collaborated with me on the course project in color film – parable "Misanthrope".

It was an interesting event for me to receive a response from the famous French Explorer of The world's oceans, photographer, Director, inventor, author of many books and films Jacques – Yves Cousteau to my letter. In this letter, I expressed my desire to cooperate with the crew of the Calypso and did not even imagine that in the last years of my life, already at an advanced age, a person like Cousteau would devote his precious time to me (photo albums "autographs" and "letters").

19.03.1997 took part in the IV competition of student films "St. Anna" with the film "Parent's day" ((special. mention of the jury) photo album "contests, exhibitions").

In 1997,he took part in the XX Moscow international film festival with the diploma film "Parents ' day" ( photo album "contests, exhibitions"), section "media".

In 1998, he participated in the V international documentary film festival in India, Mumbai with the diploma film "Parents ' day" (photo album "competitions,exhibitions").

14.04. – 20.04.1998 participated in the XVIII VGIK film festival with the film "Parents ' day" ( photo album "contests,exhibitions").

From 1998 to 2001, shooting newsreels and documentaries for the Cinematography as a cameraman.

In 1999, he worked on the project "Use to..." as the first operator. Special prize of the jury of the debut competition "For the first steps in the profession" to the film Director Peter Tochilin at the Kinotavr-99 film festival. Nomination for the national award of film critics and film press "Golden Aries" for 1999 Peter Tochilin in the category "Best directorial debut".

In 1999, he collaborated with the STV Studio on the program "Liniya Kino" as a cameraman.

In 2000, he took part in the Moscow festival of student creativity "Festos".

In 2001, he took part in the Kinoshok film festival in Anapa as a photographer.

1.03. – 20.03.2001 an exhibition of photographs "Portraits of famous figures of cinema and theater" ( photo album "press") was held in the foyer of the White hall of the UK.

23.01. – 24.02.2002 participated in The photo contest "silver camera 2001" on the theme "Faces "with the photo works"Portraits of famous people of cinema and theater".

In Moscow, I was lucky enough to meet the famous photographer max Vadukul.His portraits of celebrities and stars made a truly stunning impression on me ,and I understand what he is striving for ( photo album "autographs").

02.04.-11.05.2002 participated in the IV International month of photography in Moscow "Photobiennale-2002" photo center of the Union of journalists with the project "Moles" (photo album "contests, exhibitions").

2002-2004 – "the Moscow Saga. The last take" (film about the film). Risk film company – worked as a cinematographer for "film about film" together with Opera Director R. R. Carmen.

In 2004, I was interested to meet the famous French Director, screenwriter, and producer Luc Besson at the presentation of his book about the boy Arthur ( the autographs photo album) at the Moscow Bookstore on Tverskaya street.

2004 - 2005 – "Diva" – TV series,dir.Yefim Reznikov, movie company "Lucasfilm" – the artist-photographer.

2005 – "goddess of Prime time" – TV series,dir.Sergey Popov film company "the Phoenix-the film" – artist-photographer .

2005 – "Opera. Chronicles of the homicide Department. Confessions " – TV series, film company "Phoenix-film" – artist - photographer.The shooting took place in Dubna.

2006 – "Heavy sand" (12 episodes) – TV series based on the work of A. Rybakov,worked as an artist-photographer, film operator about the film. The shooting took place in Ukraine, Shchors.
2007 – "Trap for the master" - x/f,dir.Khuat Akhmetov, film "Lisited Studio" – the second operator .

Since 2009, I have been working on projects. I shoot and mount author's works on professional video photography equipment. Shooting ads, movies, videos, photo shoots, and events.
