Papercut

I am an independent filmmaker; I use to shoot, edit and direct all my works. I am mostly focused on details, between them I want to show and explore interiority, emotions, vulnerability. I can’t separate from camera and I try to make my shooting record what the moment suggest to me. That’s why I prefer a a style that creates an almost doc-like verisimilitude, hand-held shots, natural light, rough framing, unadorned spaces. As a director, my attempt is to disappear behind the scenes to achieve the most natural narration. I mostly suggest connections and build meanings in the editing part, that almost never follows straightforward logics. My main aim is to show the spontaneous poetry of small moments and small and anonymous things, people and situations, avoiding strong conclusions, just as a free, careful and sensitive eye.
