Panic, Attack: Blood Pub

Two friends catch up at a bar one year after the “Halloween Party Massacre”, only to find that their nightmare may not be over. Now they must find a way to save their friends before it's too late...This short can be described as a creature feature that has elements of Stranger Things with Shaun of the Dead sensibilities, and some Evil Dead thrown in for fun.

This is a sequel to the award-winning short film "Panic, Attack". These films aim to promote discussion around mental health. We frame anxiety and PTSD as both physical ailments and literal monsters. People battling depression and similar mental health disorders often experience challenges in our ability to function in our day-to-day lives. If severe enough, these disorders can even threaten our relationships to people around us and how we move through the world. In the "Panic, Attack" series, our protagonists employ various coping mechanisms, known as "grounding techniques," learned through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These techniques help tether us to reality and empower us to return to our strong, independent selves. In this way, our protagonists are never victims to their disorders. Instead, they face these unique challenges head-on with the same courage and empathy as survivors in real life.

After completing its festival run, "Panic, Attack: Blood Pub" will serve as a proof-of-concept in order to raise funds for the feature-length version. The original "Panic, Attack" can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/user184097877/panic-attack?share=copy
