Director Statement

In 2016, I documented the struggles and experiences of the LGBTQ+ collective in Chivilcoy in a poignant documentary. Their personal stories reflected sexual and gender diversity, highlighting their courageous battle for equity and rights. The film showcases the subjective and political effects of this fight, becoming a global example of rights expansion. Diverse voices from the collective share their experiences, revealing the suffering caused by gender impositions. The documentary, with poignant photographic archives, narrates the story of Pamela Poletti, a prominent trans activist in Chivilcoy, and her unwavering family support. "Pamela" is an emotional journey through her life, loves, and struggles, enriching cultural insight and public discourse on gender identity.
