To save the land from the devastation of the drought, a Totonac indigenous boy and his grandfather must search for the great spirit of the Eagle (Pichawa).

Director Biography - Edgar Rodríguez

Director / Writer / Producer

Director de Cine Independiente, Guionista, Productor Ejecutivo, Camarógrafo, Editor, realizador de videoclips y cortometrajes.

Edgar Iván Rodríguez Quiroz (Poza Rica, Veracruz, March 10, 1980), is a Film Director, Screenwriter, Producer, Photographer, Actor and Visual Artist from Pozaricense, better known by the nickname "El Águila", in reference to the production company El Águila. Films created in 2009. Awarded several times in at least 20 International Film Festivals. In 2017 Nominated for Best Short Film, Best Photography and Best Art Design for his Short Film "CAFE EXPRESSO", In 2020 he won the "Mapache de Oro" as Best Characterization for his Short Film "LA CATRINA" and Finalist in HOLLYWOOD FIRST TIME FILMMAKER SHOWCASE (Filmmakers Showcase for the 1st Time in Hollywood) – LIFTOFF Global Network 2020.

Edgar Rodríguez currently promotes a cooperative film culture network in co-production with some filmmakers from Mexico and other countries such as Panama, Brazil and Argentina through the PICHAWA Mobile Film and Film Festival project and the independent production company EL AGUILA FILMS.
