PAINTING WITH RAIN

The main character of the film is an artist. His pictures are some kind of original injection into the modern art since he “knits” his canvases with acrylic threads stretching out of the syringe.
A thread to the feelings, conscious and subconscious, this thread overlaying at the threads of the canvas creates the single fabric of what is seen and unseen and thus becomes a new connecting thread between primary and artistic reality. The thread of the main character’s thoughts stretches through the reality, the seen and unseen, explicit and implicit feelings, the message and perception, reality and dreams, conscious and subconscious, love and faith. This thread constantly leads him to the comprehension of the events from the remote past through the prism of the present, bringing him to the foresight of the future ...

Director Biography - Konstantin Odegov

KONSTANTIN ODEGOV was born on July 21, 1959 in Omsk. He graduated Tyumen State University with a degree in Journalism in 1986. In 1987 Konstantin started working as a TV presenter, editor and a scriptwriter for the regional television company. In 1992 he established a film production company named «Studio Pressing» being the CEO, producer, director and the screenwriter.
Konstantin is a member of the Directors Guild of Russia (2002). He shot more than 60 documentaries and 4 full-length feature films.
