The Pure Human - Yörük Mehmet

“The Pure Human” is a documentary that tells the story of Mehmet, one of the last representatives of the nomadic Yörük culture. After experiencing betrayal and hardship, he withdraws from society to live a solitary life at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, herding his goats. Carrying the ancient wisdom and freedom of the Yörüks within him, Mehmet sustains a deep bond with nature, keeping a centuries-old tradition alive. This documentary captures his journey of reconnecting with his roots and himself.

Director Biography - Mehmet Cosar, Eymen Uzunkok

Mehmet Coşar was born in 1996 in Istanbul. For him, cinema is not just a profession but the most powerful way to understand and convey the world. His passion for visual arts gradually transformed him into a storyteller. Humans exist through the stories they leave behind, and the only thing that can resist the passage of time is a tale that is told and felt.

Starting his career with fashion films, Mehmet Coşar worked in cinematography, directing, and editing for numerous global brands such as Hummel, DeFacto, and Nautica. However, his true passion has always been cinema and documentary filmmaking.

As a cinematographer in the documentary Serüven and a director in Öz İnsan - Yörük Mehmet, Mehmet most recently directed a documentary project focusing on human life in Africa. In every project, he strives to offer audiences not just a film but an unforgettable experience.

For him, cinema and documentary filmmaking are arts that defy time.
