Quinlan Orear is an Atlanta based writer and director, and the Associate Chair of Film & Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Since earning his BFA in Theatre Studies from the University of Illinois, Quinn’s career focus has been on fostering collaborations with diverse talent in crafting poignant stories. Quinn received his MFA in Film from Columbia University, receiving Faculty Honors in screenwriting for his original pilot teleplay entitled “Grunge.” His debut short “Seeking: Jack Tripper” won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Short at its world premiere at the 2016 Newport Beach Film Festival. In 2018, Quinn relocated from New York to Atlanta with his husband Dustin Presley. They are committed to bringing thoughtful and engaging Queer stories to life.
"Over My Dead Body" is a contemplative celebration of found family, overcoming pride, and finding dignity in death.
