Out of Gas
A truck driver and a banker live through a regular day in their monotonous lives. The apathy they feel towards their respective occupations, despite being on opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum, is much of the same. A magical moment occurs as the banker's Maserati sports car runs out of gas, only to be saved by the gracious truck driver.

An award-winning director from Hong Kong and Scotland, Michael Yu has a body of work spanning a breadth of genres (action, comedy, romance, doc) which often takes on non-linear narrative structures, parallel editing, and vivid color palettes. With nominations from the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Awards, his narrative work often tackles themes of regret, greed, social class and racial inequality.
Michael has just produced season one of 'Expatations', a docu-series TV show about foreigners living in Hong Kong that is now airing on ViuTV, Hong Kong's premiere TV channel and broadcaster. He is currently working on writing and directing two new short films, with a music video and a drama-series lined up for this summer.
