Amanda Hess is an award-winning, independent writer, director, and producer based in New England. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at Boston University, where she is an ambassador for Women in Film and a member of the Massachusetts Production Coalition.

Director Statement

The customer isn’t always right.  Anyone who’s worked in the service industry knows that phrase–or rather, the correct version of it. There is, however, a time when you have to draw the line. Stephanie’s journey of finding her self-confidence and self-respect is one that many can identify with. And as someone who has worked in customer service, I hope that others will find this story relatable and cathartic.
