Welcome to the city of Lagos and into the life of Neto Eze-Roberts a talented Afro-beat musician better known by his artist name Wahala, after a divine "Shady" intervention investment by his uncle Chief Obadike into his indie record label "Orange City Records" to kick start his music career, Wahala learns alongside his misfit dysfunctional friends /colleagues that the road to stardom isn't as imagined but littered with fake celebrity lifestyles, thirsty psychopathic groupies, crooked policemen, shady entertainment executives and causal hit men turning up at your doorstep. What is the price of fame? What is the price of true happiness?

Director Biography - Somto Ajuluchukwu

Somto Ajuluchukwu born February 24th, 1991 is an emerging Film Maker, Entertainment & Technology entrepreneur with a background in Economics from Crawford University with a degree in Film from Academy Of Arts University San Francisco in view.

He began his professional career as a filmmaker in 2014 after founding Vortex Studios (Studio of the Year Lagos Comic-Con 2016) an animation and comic book company, where he published his initial works, Directing his first short animated film in 2016 called Town Crier, shortly after a character called Strike Guard in the Vortex catalog was listed 15 most influential black superheroes in the world by CBR (Comic Book Resources) and later produced as an animated short film featured on VICE & Design Indaba in 2017. Before then he worked as a marketing executive at LEGO Nigeria (2012), Content Executive at Starfish Mobile (2013) and Investment banking at Zenith Pension Custodians (2014).

In late 2017 he moved from Vortex to start C3 Africa (Creative Content Conference) Nigeria's first content market serving as the meeting point for international companies discovering and buying Nigerian content, this expanded to the Ghanaian territory in August 2018, and has become a conduit connecting the industry locally and to international stakeholders.

In February 2018, Prima Vista another innovative venture was born; a distribution and production company for both Film & TV content was co-founded by Somto Ajuluchukwu making her cinema distribution debut with Ghanian sensational film LUCKY with a growing catalog of more films and TV shows to come.

In October 2018, African International Film Festival Appointed him Coordinator Animation programmes.

Somto Ajuluchukwu is based in Lagos & Accra.

Orange city is a hilarious expression of the celebrity culture and entertainment lifestyle in Lagos Nigeria. It follows the life of WAHALA and touches a lot of social and political conscious topics in a harmless and escapist way. It was created by a dedicated team of all African creatives.
