One Fine Day in Troy

While the project focuses on the archaeological excavations of the ancient city of Troya, which dates back to 3500 BC, from the eyes of archaeologists for 150 years, it also shows how things are progressing and daily routines in the Troya Museum located right next to Troya Örenyeri. It presents the background of the museum and excavations, which cannot be seen by visitors, in all its naturalness.

Within the scope of the works carried out in cooperation with the Troy Museum and the Troy excavation, the work, which is a narrative of a day lived in the museum and the ancient city of Troy, was presented to the memory of all excavation teams and Museum staff.

Director Biography - Ülkü Sönmez

Ülkü Sönmez, who got his Cinema-TV master's degree at Okan University after graduating from ÇOMÜ GSF Graphic Design Department, came to the forefront in many international festivals with her first short documentary film 'Sığda' (Shallow). 'Sığda', which won the Official Selection at the Lift-off First Films Festival held in England, and was selected for the official screening at the Cefalù Film Festival in Italy, is a short story documentary with more than 5 minutes at the 2019 Mojo Italy Festival in Rome. It was selected for Best Film. Described by the international jury as a first film with the quality and technique of a classic documentary, reflecting the essence of Turkish cinema, and at a high level, 'Sığda' tells the rural life of two brothers with opposite characters living in a village in Çanakkale.
