Director Statement

One Summer on Earth seemed like the only logical method of catharsis following my mental health crisis in late 2020/early 2021. Having previously tried to make sense of life's complexity via surrealism in fiction, I felt that to make sense of my own life, documentary and non-linearism were necessary. This project is a reflection and an investigation into my own healing and depicts life as I saw it throughout one summer spent on Earth, the summer of 2021.
