Experiencing Interruptions?

Once Upon a Pandemic

Once upon a time, a global pandemic, political unrest, inequality, and fear pushed society to the tipping point. (Sound familiar?)

Every day, technology, social media, politicians and the media forced humans into warring ideological tribes, fueled by anger and confusion, and driven by fear and misinformation.

Then one day, humans watched a show called "Once Upon a Pandemic" written by a fifty-year-old cancer survivor who threw away a 25-year marketing career to inspire others to change their mindset and change their lives.

Because of that, humans understood that if they could learn to control their emotions, and navigate safely through technology and social media, that they could live a more purposeful, impactful existence.

Until finally, humans made one small change in their everyday lives that allowed them to live more peacefully and happily.

Director Statement

If you think, like I do, that humans have really been dicks to each other in the last seven years or so, then you'll enjoy this scathing satire on artificial intelligence and listening devices and social media algorithms.

You'll see my views on the absurdity of future technology and social media's role in how it keeps the population's brains filled with dopamine, distractions, anger and confusion.

Why do they do this? So we fight each other instead of trying to get along and make the world a better place.

Bottom line: It's about the absurdity of our current state of affairs and tech. It's about tribalism. It's about the PTSD billions of us have experienced since Covid 19 hit.
